Title Clerk

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Title Clerk to join our client in the automotive industry for a contract-to-hire position. The Title Clerk will be responsible for processing and managing vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role is critical for maintaining accurate records, supporting dealership operations, and ensuring smooth vehicle transactions.Key Responsibilities:

Process vehicle titles and registrations for new and used car sales

Prepare title paperwork for submission to appropriate state agencies

Verify and ensure the accuracy of all title and registration documents

Coordinate with sales, finance, and insurance departments to resolve title-related issues

Communicate with customers to obtain necessary documents or information

Submit title applications, track progress, and follow up with state agencies as needed

Handle title transfers and releases of liens

Maintain an organized and up-to-date file system for all title documentation

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations

Assist in resolving title discrepancies or delays

Provide administrative support to the dealership team as required

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus

Previous experience as a Title Clerk in the automotive industry is preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Familiarity with state vehicle title and registration requirements

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and dealership management software

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
