This person would be responsible for the presentation and success of the Delivery Partner Basic Training program for all new Delivery Partners of Sysco. They would be able to travel up to 25%, throughout the year in order to facilitate training sessions with the region and other academies. This person will be responsible for: the deployment of the prescribed training curriculum
searching for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among staff
researching new training supplies and materials that can enhance Sysco's training procedures while providing value to employees
utilizing surveys to track content, success, and changes for the training and presenters
communicating with management, facilitators from the field, and team members to ensure that all needs are met, including results and contingency plans associated with the presentation, curriculum, and results of the Warehouse and Leader Training
Executing Delivery Partner certifications (ex. Smith System)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading the facilitation and deployment of the Delivery Partner Basic Training program to all new Delivery Partners.
Track and disseminate information gathered from presentations to provide feedback about the new Delivery Partners, curriculum, and updates needed.
Assist in delivering CDL training when needed to ensure a consistently smooth operation.
Partner with team members, site leaders, planners, and Hub Manager in the region to execute the planned schedule.
Manage the coordination of facilities and supplies to ensure smooth presentation of the curriculum between all facilitators.
Administrative Work related to the Operations Academy.
Education Preferred: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree is preferable
Experience Required: Valid Class A CDL with a "clean" driving record and current Medical Card.
Five (5) years of previous continuous commercial driver experience. Touch freight delivery driving experience preferred.
Presentation of curriculum/ information to a group or classroom setting
Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Experience with Slido or any other surveying and compliance reporting a plus
Professionalism, self-starter, problem-solver skills required
Able to collaborate and present with others
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong administrative and organization capabilities
Written, verbal, and phone communication skills
Able to develop forms, student folders required information, and new reports for Academy
Experience Preferred: Two plus years in a presenter role. Supply Chain and training experience a plus but not required. Working with approx. 30+ people
Licenses/Certification: Class A License (CDL)
Ability to obtain Smith System Certification
Technical Skills and Abilities: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable talking in front of a group as well as one-on-one with an individual
Able to give and receive feedback effectively
Can drive understanding (i.e. using visual aids, able to recognize when a group or individual is lost and needs more attention)
Ability to follow up
