Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the professional services industry. The role will be based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, 80111, United States. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be involved in vendor setup, disbursements, and IRS compliance. You'll also be in charge of communicating with vendors and handling large ERP systems.Responsibilities: Handling vendor setup on a daily basis Knowledge of w8, w9, and vendor set-up/maintenance Managing disbursements of payments Communicating remit changes with vendors Making phone calls to gather additional information from vendors when necessary related to maintenance and set-up in ERP Oracle Ensuring IRS Compliance related to tin matching; training will be provided if required Utilizing your background in vendor maintenance and management Working with large ERP systems; Oracle, GP, Netsuite, SAP, etc. Performing auditing and managing accounts payableKey skills: Auditing Accounts Payable (AP) management Requirements Proficiency in using Accounts Payable (AP) software to manage financial transactions Demonstrable experience in auditing, specifically in reviewing and verifying invoices and check requests Ability to perform reconciliation of AP transactions and prepare analysis of accounts Strong organizational skills to maintain historical records by microfilming and filing documents Capable of disbursing petty cash by recording entries and verifying documentation Skilled in reporting sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices Ability to provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the AP function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures Good at solving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company Ability to process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent data entry skills and a knack for numbers Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full-scale ER software) Proficiency in English and in MS Office Customer service orientation and negotiation skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
