Description We are in the market for a VP/Director of Finance with expertise in the non-profit sector to join our team located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role will involve leading the strategic financial planning and management of the organization, providing guidance to the executive leadership team, and overseeing the Accounting, Human Resources, and Information Technology teams.Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure long-term stability of the organization Provide leadership, direction, and management to the Accounting, Human Resources and Information Technology teams Offer strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive leadership team Ensure initiatives of the organization’s strategic plan are effectively managed and implemented Oversee Financial Reporting, Budgeting - Forecasting, Business Banking Relationship, and Asset Management Handle Human Resources (HR) Administration and Strategic Planning Manage Cash Flow, Variance Analysis, and Financial Statement Preparation Utilize CPA, Audit, Microsoft Excel, and Abila MIP skills in the execution of job duties Commit to the goals, mission, and management philosophy of the organization Ensure all financial operations align with the organization's objectives. Requirements Extensive experience in the Non-Profit sector, preferably in a senior financial management role Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management and leadership roles Proficiency in financial reporting and financial statement preparation Demonstrable experience in budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis Experience in managing business banking relationships and cash flow management Proven track record in strategic planning and asset management Familiarity with Human Resources administration Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification Experience in performing audit functions Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Abila MIP Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal Strong analytical skills and the ability to make strategic decisions based on financial analysis High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
