Position SummaryPosition TitleVP, Quality Compliance & GovernanceLocationNationwidePosition SummaryReporting to the SVP, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, this position plans, executes and manages activities related to quality assurance services that support the global businesses. The goal of this position ensures that Cardinal Health product and services successfully meet our patient/customer needs while holding the highest standards of product safety, quality and regulatory compliance.This position is directly responsible for the effective oversight and management of teams that support Design Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, Supplier Quality Assurance and Post Market Surveillance and other areas where assigned. This role provides leadership and strategic direction, partners with cross functional stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives, interacts with external suppliers and regulatory agencies and ensures QA Shared Services are both effective and efficient.Position DescriptionExpectations

Provides leadership and direction to multiple teams. Will manage Directors, Managers and other levels as assigned. Hires, trains and develops immediate staff to meet quality, compliance and business requirements. Responsible for appraising performance and developing staff as well as addressing/resolving personnel problems.

Manages an organizational budget ensuring operating costs are maintained within constraints

Develops and implements functional and/or operational strategies that support business objectives

Complex decision making that can have a significant impact on overall success or failure on area of accountability, business and external stakeholders

Interacts with all levels of internal and/or external leaders

Influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance

Responsible for communicating business related issues and opportunities to next level management

Ensures the development of quality systems to facilitate business and quality objectives

Ensures external suppliers meet all requirements, monitors performance and resolves any problems.

Qualifications

15+ years of related experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

BA or BS, Advanced Degree preferred

Thorough knowledge of Medical Device regulations and application to a wide variety of products

Strong communication skills both written and oral

High level of attention to detail

Ability to manage conflicting issues, effectively prioritize and solve issues across multiple functions

Ability to travel globally as needed
