- Work with other operations staff to optimize performance and maintain regulatory compliance of the water reclamation facilities, sewage collection system, and reclaimed water storage, distribution and use facilities
- Work with water system personnel to coordinate the use of reclaimed water with the district’s raw and potable water supply facilities which include groundwater wells, WISE water, and alluvial groundwater
- Oversee the implementation and refinement of a comprehensive asset management, operations, and maintenance program along with a comprehensive safety program
- Ensure regulatory compliance including the reclaimed water quality and treatment and reporting requirements, training and oversight of reclaimed water users, and preparation of annual reports for reclaimed water and biosolids
- Prepare and update the annual budget
- Work with in-house engineers and district consultants to prepare strategic planning along with short- and long-term capital expenditure budgets
- Lead weekly wastewater staff meetings
- Attend occasional district board meetings
- Provide leadership and guidance
- Advise Pure Cycle management of issues that could adversely impact operations or employee morale
- Maintain a professional rapport with other staff, customers, the public, and regulatory personnel
- Expert knowledge of wastewater systems operation and treatment methods
- Effective problem solving and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including use Microsoft office products
- A current, valid Colorado driver’s license
- Minimum five years’ experience in the water/wastewater utilities industry with supervisory/ leadership experience
- Colorado Certified Water Professional Class A Wastewater Treatment and Level 3 or 4 Wastewater Collection licenses
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, civil engineering, management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
