This senior-level leadership position requires an accomplished professional with proven engineering expertise and the ability to successfully drive business development.As the Water Resources Growth Lead you will serve as a strategic lead coordinating with regional business line leaders, market sector leads, and a wide range of professionals throughout AECOM. This role combines technical leadership, business development, client relationship management, and team development to expand AECOM's water resources market presence and delivery capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & GrowthDrive growth of the Surface Water practice across multiple US regions, focusing on municipal, industrial, and federal market sectorsDevelop and execute strategic business development plans that align with AECOM's technical capabilities and market opportunitiesLead pursuit development and provide oversight of capture plans for major surface water opportunitiesAnticipate market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in surface water managementCoordinate with Technical Practice leaders to align skills development with market demandsTechnical Excellence & Project LeadershipProvide technical leadership and oversight for complex surface water engineering projects including:Surface water treatment plant design and optimizationRaw water intake systems and pump stationsWater conveyance and distribution systemsReservoir and watershed managementWater quality modeling and assessmentRegulatory compliance and permittingServe as technical lead directing and executing work related to surface water treatment and conveyanceSupport training and professional development of technical staffEnsure adherence to AECOM's quality standards and technical excellence initiativesClient Relations & Business DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients including municipal water utilities, industrial clients, federal agencies, and private developersServe as primary client interface for strategic surface water accountsLead client engagement activities including technical presentations, workshops, and industry conference participationDevelop major pursuits and oversee proposal development that showcases AECOM's technical capabilitiesRepresent AECOM at industry conferences, technical committees, and professional organizations
