Candidates must be local to Denver, CO. Top Must Haves:-device wi-fi expertise-test automation experience-test case developmentNotes:-will be testing wi-fi devices-most important part of role is being a wi-fi expert: how it works, troubleshooting-not a QA role; will not be executing long test plans-very high level architecture and design role-big plus with automation expertise; able to write code to do test case automation-self motivation to take ownership/lead and drive the process to validate cases-not a manager role but will have to take leadership throughout position-wi-fi chip sets (Broadcom), test automation, test infrastructure are top 3 skills-bachelors degree is a must for this position-vaccination is not a must-travel would be reimbursed-core team of about 11 peopleMandatory Skills and Requirements:Require 8-10+ years of Wi-Fi Test Engineering background, preferably with In-Home Wi-Fi and has domain experience in more than one of the following areas (MDU, Residential, Enterprise, SMB) and focusing Wi-Fi architecture. Driving the long-term strategy with Wi-FI. Knowledge of broad market understanding with engineering/strategy/architecture is strongly preferred.Experience with in-home CPE platforms (Cable/xDSL)Fluent in Wi-Fi 802.11 standardKnowledge of specific Wi-Fi features (QoS, band steering, EasyMesh, and others)Construction of Wi-Fi specific test casesUse of standard debugging tools (such as Wireshark and OTA monitoring)Have used Wi-Fi test tools such as Ixia, VeriwaveUnderstanding of LinuxGood background on Wi-Fi use for both data and videoAble to perform analytics on dataBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.Ideal Skills and Capabilities:Able to perform scripting and/or programmingEstablished Wi-Fi silicon vendor specific relationshipsExperience with Wi-Fi troubleshootingHas worked with open architectures such as Prpl and OpenWRTUnderstanding of Cable broadband architecturesPurposeThe Wi-Fi Test Architect will work closely with testing teams to validate data and recommend changes using available Wi-Fi test tools and test cases. The Wi-Fi Test architect will aim to improve the overall quality of Wi-Fi testing using a solid understanding of standard software feature validation and Wi-Fi automation.Principal Accountabilities and FunctionsAnalyze and validate data provided by testing teamsParticipate in test case and tool set reviews, contribute recommendations for product qualityImprove and add to existing Wi-Fi toolsetValidate standard Wi-Fi featuresLeverage Wi-Fi automation scriptsInvestigate found problems and drive the resolution using troubleshooting tools, includes working closely with Engineering/Consulting teams & helping resolve issues.Applicants must provide their phone number.
