Supervisor: Senior Pastor
Hours: Typically three (3) worship services per weekend plus seasonal/holiday worship
Pay Scale: $80 per worship service
Purpose: To enhance public worship by providing beautiful music for the inspiration of worshipers and to the glory of God.
Responsibilities:
Play music selections that reflect Lutheran theological beliefs and liturgical practice
Organist/Pianist for weekend worship services and special midweek worship services (e.g., Ash Wednesday, Advent, Christmas Eve, etc.).
Play prelude, postlude, offertory and hymnody/contemporary songs for assigned worship services
Organist/pianist/accompanist for soloists at weddings and funerals (upon request)
Other duties as mutually agreed upon
Requirements:
Play in rotation schedule with other worship accompanists.
Proficiency at keyboard instrument (organ and/or piano) at professional level of performance ability.
Familiarity with liturgical styles of worship and the liturgical Church Year (seasons and festivals, etc.).
Personal faith commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Member of a Bible-believing Christian Church.
Must be willing to affirm our Statement of Belief and Statements on Marriage & Sexuality and the Sanctity of Life.
Pass criminal background check in compliance with state and local laws.
