Description We are in search of an Accountant with a keen eye for detail to join our nonprofit client located in Hartford, Connecticut. The role involves managing an array of accounting functions, working with various Accounting Software Systems, and providing financial services in a dynamic environment. This position offers a contract employment opportunity and operates within an industry that is instrumental in providing essential health services to the community.Responsibilities: Utilize Accounting Software Systems to maintain financial records and reports. Execute accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) with accuracy and efficiency. Conduct auditing processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Participate in budget processes, providing valuable input and managing allocations effectively. Utilize Abila MIP for nonprofit management to streamline accounting processes. Monitor and maintain ADP - Financial Services, ensuring all financial operations are running smoothly. Manage ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to integrate and manage business processes. Resolve financial discrepancies by analyzing information from the accounting systems. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations, improve financial processes, and achieve business goals.Requirements Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing practices and principles Knowledge of Budget Processes Proficiency in using Abila MIP Relevant experience in a healthcare or NHS setting Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work both independently and as part of a team High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively Adherence to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
