Accounting Manager

Description Robert Half is Supporting an Established Consumer Goods Company to hire an Accounting Manager for their growing international business. This role is instrumental in managing the accounting and finance functions including management of the general ledger, annual audit, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, as well as assisting in financial planning and analysis. This role will also oversee two Accounting Specialists.Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of the general ledger. Manage the annual audit process to ensure accuracy and compliance. Supervise the Accounts Receivable function, including the accurate application of customer payments and processing of deductions. Oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and appropriate approvals. Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic re-forecasts. Monitor and improve the Accounts Receivable aging status. Ensure proper filings for state sales and use taxes, through third-party involvement if necessary. Execute and improve current accounting policies and procedures. Oversee spending to ensure fiscal responsibility within the company. Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel to achieve efficient and accurate financial management.Requirements Hands on experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and account reconciliation Proficiency in using accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with Excel formulas Ability to handle cash applications and deductions accurately and responsibly Bachelor's Deree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics 5+ years' accounting experience, 3 of which have been in a managerial level role Roll up your sleeves mentality when it comes to supporting accounting functions and the overall team CPG/Manufacturing industry experienceIf interested, please apply directly to this posting and email your resume to Michelle.Kenney@RobertHalf(.com) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
