Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - ConstructionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of pre-construction processes and change orders. This role requires proficiency in Procore and Sage software.Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.

Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are adhered to.

Manage pre-construction activities, including project scheduling, budgeting, and procurement.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to finalize project plans and specifications.

Oversee and process change orders, ensuring all modifications are documented and approved.

Communicate changes to all relevant parties and update project plans accordingly.

Monitor the impact of change orders on project timelines and budgets.

Utilize Procore and Sage software for project management, documentation, and financial tracking.

Ensure all project data is accurately entered and maintained in the software systems.

Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and project oversight.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Identify and address any issues or discrepancies on-site, working with the project team to implement solutions.

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local building codes and regulations.

Prepare and present project reports to senior management and clients.

Maintain open and effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Provide regular updates on project status, highlighting any risks or issues that may impact project success.

Essential Skills

2-5 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.

Proficiency in Procore, Sage, and MS Office software.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working on healthcare projects and/or manufacturing, clean rooms, biopharma.

Knowledge of pre-construction and change orders.

Experience with project scheduling, site development, and general contracting.

Proficiency in Bluebeam, estimation, and RFIs.

Mechanical knowledge.

Work EnvironmentWork hours are from 7am to 4pm. Job sites are located in Connecticut (Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven counties) and one in Poughkeepsie, NY. Work will be split between company headquarters in Brookfield and worksite locations.
