Start your Voyage - Apply Now Get to Know the Opportunity: The AVP, Technical User Experience Lead will develop leadership and user change management strategies focused on technology implementations which impact the total employee experience and the various factors that contribute to it. While this role with focus on the technology function, it will partner closely with senior leaders, technology tower leads, Human Resources and others, to gain insights and actionable feedback. This leader will enact change, champion Employee Experience (EX) IT initiatives and leverage technology to implement workflow automation and digital opportunities. With an emphasis on user engagement and change management. the AVP, IT Change Management, Employee Experience will improve the IT journey, and employee experiences, throughout the end-to-end employee lifecycle. Additionally, this role will need to ensure technical improvements are identified and implemented successfully throughout the organization ensuring benefits.Please Note: This position allows remote work from home but will require travel to our Voya office as business requires. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius from your assigned office. The Contributions You'll Make:- Develops strategies and programs to improve employee engagement and user change management focused on technology driven improvements
- Understands the critical stages within the employee lifecycle and ensures a superior IT experience across the entire lifecycle
- Explores and implements technical solutions that improves experience and efficiencies throughout the organization
- Advises, counsels and provides strategic direction to technical teams
- Creates and leads employee feedback channels including surveys, and focus groups
- Partners with other key user experience areas (i.e. Human Resources) to support broader Voya initiatives and alignment
- Maintains strategic relationships, practices active listening and solicits relevant feedback. Ensures feedback is acted on
- Ideates and designs initiatives that will establish, or improve, positive employee experiences
- Partners with technology leaders to create a technology landscape that provides employees with the tools and capabilities they need to maximize their productivity
- Understands the IT systems, tools and processes involved in the employee onboarding process and strives to make them efficient and effective
- Develops dashboards, reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to capture and track improvements and their effectiveness
- Collaborate with the Voya Learning Center to design relevant IT training opportunities
- Understands the Technical User Experience vendor landscape. Effectively works with technology leaders to implement, or enhance, software and tools that improve employee engagement
- Continuously monitors the employee IT experience and engagement, recommending improvement programs as required
- Ensures the employees have role clarity, are focused on Voya's purpose and defined business priorities, and are working on the most relevant IT activities
- Builds a matrixed group of change agents that understands the future workplace vision and can help create enthusiasm
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- Fifteen+ years of progressively responsible IT experience, including 10 years in IT management.
- Strong financial and organizational management experience (managing 100+ staff organizations, with $7m + operating budget).
- Strong understanding of financial service and insurance business and technologies.
- Significant experience in multiple areas of IT field, including new computing architectures, systems support strategies, IT Services and/or process and project methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in project management and execution involving multiple major projects or a substantial record of success delivering complex IT services to a diverse clientele.
