Description We are in search of a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in Meriden, Connecticut. This role revolves around evaluating job roles, maintaining job descriptions, and reviewing compensation surveys. Additionally, the successful candidate will support HR management in administering incentive programs, salary increases, and benefits initiatives. This is a contract position where you will be contributing to maintaining and updating employee records in the HR information system. Responsibilities: Evaluate job roles to establish suitable job classifications and salary levels Maintain job descriptions, ensuring they align with the responsibilities and requirements of each position Analyze and document data from compensation surveys and benchmarking studies Assist HR management in administering incentive and salary increase programs Contribute to the development, implementation, and administration of new and ongoing initiatives to ensure benefit offerings and contribution strategies remain competitive and compliant Develop and implement communication strategies to promote and educate employees on company retirement plans and health and welfare benefits Support annual benefits enrollment by preparing materials, organizing meetings, and addressing employee benefit inquiries Assist in administering leave processes for employees and maintaining leave policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Provide clarification and information to employees about benefits and leave programs; assist employees with new permanent benefits enrollment and life/status change events Conduct audits and assessments to ensure data integrity in the HR information system and data communications between benefit carriers Maintain documentation related to compensation and benefits programs, including policies, procedures, and employee communications Assist in preparing materials such as presentations and training documents for various compensation and benefits related initiatives Collaborate with other HR team members to maintain and update employee records in the HR information system including benefits, compensation, and other data Assist with other compensation, benefit, and HR related projects and programs as necessary. Skills: ADP - Financial Services ADP Workforce Now HRMS About Time Benefit Functions Claim Administration Compensation Administration Compliance Benefits Administration Benefits Coordination Compensation & Benefits Requirements Proven experience in the role of Compensation & Benefits Specialist for a minimum of 5 years. Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now. Experience with HRMS and About Time is a must. Demonstrable expertise in Benefit Functions such as Claim Administration, Compensation Administration, Compliance, Benefits Administration, and Benefits Coordination. Extensive knowledge and application of Compensation & Benefits. Exceptional ability to administer and coordinate benefits. Familiarity with the principles and procedures of Compensation Administration. Strong understanding of compliance within the realm of Compensation & Benefits. Ability to effectively manage and administer HRMS. Experience with About Time would be advantageous. Must possess skills to administer claims and resolve related issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Advanced problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field is preferred.
