DevOps Engineer

DevOps EngineerThe Enterprise DevOps Engineering team is looking for a Sr. Engineer to design and build end-to-end solutions to better serve our customers seeking fully automated and reliable CI/CD Pipelines for internally built software applications. Candidates must have solid experiences designing, developing, testing, and implementing DevOps pipeline solutions using various technologies across traditional data center and cloud environments. Experience with OpenShift / AWS is required. The candidate understands the importance of quality and responsiveness in meeting customer expectations. Success in this position requires you to be a self-motivated team player and an open-minded contributor who can help the team reach its larger goals.

• Collaborates directly with internal delivery teams to configure/migrate CI/CD pipelines for Openshift, AWS, and PCF deployment targets using input from existing pipeline.
• Answers questions and direct guidance on proper use of enterprise pipelines and resolve any issues delivery teams experience fitting their use case into enterprise CI/CD patterns.
• Collaborates with team to develop or modify automated pipeline migration utilities to support team onboarding.
• Create and update pipeline FAQs to provide a robust knowledgebase for teams to use our tools.
• Be part of a scrum team and actively participate in various ceremonies (e.g., daily scrum, story refinement, sprint planning, Program Increment (PI) planning, retrospectives).
• Works with technical and business partners to understand current state data architectures for various domains to identify opportunities to leverage DevOps best practices and standards.
• Designs, develops, tests, and troubleshoots DevOps pipelines; includes understanding source code and logging issues
• Assists in maintaining pipeline code and performs community contribution PR reviews in an innersource model. Maintain deep levels of involvement in the implementation process.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience working with DevOps technologies in On/Off premises solutions
• Ability to balance working independently as well as supporting your team in completing objectives set for the sprint, and Program Increment (PI)
• Demonstrate an understanding of agile development practices; Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred. Has experience with Jira.
• A record of strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including solid oral and written communication skills.
• Must have 4+ years experience with Groovy and Python. Experience with AWS API Libraries, awscli, bash, and GoLang preferred.
• Experienced using and creating Jenkins / Cloudbees Core CI automated build pipelines.
• Highly skilled in USING Kubernetes based platforms. (OpenShift/AWS Required)
• Limited experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) deployment target.
• Prefer experience on an Enterprise / Shared Service DevOps team.
• Strong infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with build tools (Maven required)
• Skilled in Git and Git branching strategies
