The CMS Operations Lead is responsible for production planning, supply chain, production, quality and logistics to meet program milestones, successfully transition product to the factory, support on-time delivery, ensure delivery of high-quality products, support rate-readiness activities, and achieve cost targets for assembled products.The CMS Operations Lead manages the cross-functional team to committed outcomes, including schedules, technical and budgetary goals. The CMS Operations Lead leverages their exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as regular engagements are scheduled with strategic customer partners, internal senior leadership and multiple activities across multiple product lines to ensure on time delivery, within the design to cost targets.Eligible for Relocation.Primary Responsibilities:

Formulate policies for all quality related items and ensure they are complete and documented resulting in establish quality standards being met.

Oversee and direct cost reduction efforts and process improvements to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

Oversee and direct scheduling to ensure that the plants meet established targets and standards.

Strategically design processes for sequencing of work such as build and delivery to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.

Design innovative strategies for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

Ideate and implement policies for cell performance and productivity to maximize productivity.

Oversee and direct production innovation to enhance production capabilities.

Consult with and strategically advise customers to ensure needs are being met.

Lead a cross-functional team in production operations including shop floor management, planning, logistics, quality, industrial and manufacturing engineering

Drive proactive improvements and systemic root cause and corrective actions to ensure compliance, safety and quality

Manage capacity, resources, and capital

Responsible for employee training and development, including Ops Lead standard operating processes

Engage in and drive strategic initiatives within customer and product value streams that support business objectives and goals

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

Core operational experience, including establishing and managing policies and processes, scheduling, logistics, cost reduction,

Management of a P&L

Creating presentations and presenting to all levels of executive leadership

Leading cross-functional teams, including driving behaviors within all IPT’s
