Exercise Physiologist

Performance Optimal Health is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our team. As an Exercise Physiologist at Performance Optimal Health, you will play a crucial role in improving the overall health of our clients.At Performance Optimal Health, we believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness. Through a balance of exercise, nutrition, recovery, and stress management - the Four Pillars of Optimal Health - we help our clients achieve their health goals and live better lives.Your responsibilities as an Exercise Physiologist will include providing health education, optimal health coaching, and designing exercise plans to improve key health indicators. You will also implement fitness and wellness programs that have a lasting and positive impact on our clients. Monitoring and documenting client participation in sessions and promoting the Performance Optimal Health model will be part of your role as well.As a part of our team, you will be committed to supporting each other, encouraging professional and personal growth, and continuously expanding your skills to provide top-quality care to our clients.Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the physical therapy and wellness team to maximize the benefits of the Performance Optimal Health model

Develop programs and interventions to reduce the number of injuries and aid in faster recovery

Provide personal training services to our clients

Administer optimal health assessments and provide health coaching emphasizing the integration of the Four Pillars of Optimal Health

Utilize technology for remote health monitoring and data aggregation

Provide benchmark physiological information to enable long-term athletic development

Ensure the delivery of quality services and outcomes to meet or exceed our clients' expectations

Exhibit courtesy, compassion, and respect to clients, care givers, and colleagues

Administer exercise stress tests in the Performance Optimal Health population

Participate in quality improvement activities

Assist with other duties as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science

Minimum one year experience in direct client/patient care

CPR/First Aid/AED Certification

Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) Certification or RCEP (Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist)

NSCA Certified Special Population Specialist (CSPS) a PLUS

Health Coaching Certification a PLUS

Demonstrate leadership within a team, communication, and work well with others

The ability to prioritize, balance conflicting demands and meet deadlines

Ability to motivate clients to meet their goals

Demonstrate strong communication skills

Demonstrate professionalism and strong customer service

Able to problem solve and use critical thinking skills within a dynamic setting
