Financial Analyst - Entry Level

Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst - Entry Level for our team in Stamford, Connecticut. The role involves working in the product service area, reconciliation, and accounting reviews within the Financial Services industry. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Assist with Mutual Fund custody, treasury, NAV oversight and financial reporting activities Support in activities related to the creation and maintenance of various reports to the Board of Trustees, sub-advisors, and management Review security pricing against second sources, specifically for fixed income securities and derivatives Coordinate with the Funds’ custodian for custody account openings Oversee the review of Regulatory filings including semi-annual and annual shareholder reports and Form N-1A Monitor and review Fund expense budgets and the expense payment process Assist the Director in facilitating new fund launches, mergers, liquidations, proxies and various share class changes Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and other relevant tasks. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Basic understanding of Data Analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Understanding of financial markets and trends Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
