Freelance Logistics Assistant

This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6-10 months unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are complete. Please note: this position is based in Monroe, CT.The Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting logistical operations.  NBC Sports is seeking various levels of experience in the areas of Technical Logistics and Production Logistics.Responsibilities:Warehousing, logistics and facility material handling, picking, packing and shipping, moving equipment pallets, boxesSupport Logistics department with asset tracking and inventory controlAssist with shipping and receiving mail, packages and freight. Activities may include loading/unloading trucks, material handling, and prepping/wrapping/strapping goods for shippingAssist with inventorying by working on a PC and scanning technical equipment, supplies, furniture, wardrobe, cable, & moreAssist with security screening goodsAssist with receiving supplies and tracking purchase ordersPhysically demanding position, must be able to lift at least 30 poundsSupport all customers with a high level of service and supportAdditional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work environment including breaking down boxes, picking up and disposing of trash and wasteDistributes office and non-technical supplies using custom online ordering systemSupports internal and external customers
