Full Time Medical Assistant- Thoracic Surgery

APPLY NOW! Urgently Hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant for a top healthcare system in Norwich, CT!Job Duties: As a member of the patient care team you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily offices duties including but limited to:

Rooming patients

Vital intake

Prior authorizations for medication

Respond to patient messages

Prescription refills

Schedule & confirm appointments

Assist at the front desk, etc.

Patient documentation in EPIC EMR system

Schedule:

40 hours a week. Monday - Friday between 7:30AM - 5:00PM

Most likely schedule with be 8:00AM - 4:30PM but has to be flexible by 30 mins

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience working in a medical office with both clinical and administrative duties

Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited university OR active CT CNA certification

Work environment:

Specialty: Thoracic Surgery practice

1 RN, 1 Surgical Scheduler, 1 PSC, 1 PA, 1 Provider and 1 MA (Will be the only MA but will have support of nurse and front desk)

Role is 50/50 clinical/admin

Experience Level:

Entry Level- Experienced Level
