Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst in Cheshire, Connecticut. This role will provide essential support to our manufacturing operations by assisting our IT team in managing several ongoing projects. The Help Desk Analyst will specialize in Windows & Microsoft technologies, ticketing systems, and will require strong communication & people skills.Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support to users facing issues with computer systems, software, and hardware Specialize in Microsoft and Active Directory, ensuring all systems are running smoothly and efficiently Troubleshoot hardware issues, including desktop hardware and computer peripherals Manage configuration management, making sure all systems are updated and configured correctly Provide deskside support, assisting users directly at their workstations Document and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate IT teams Develop and maintain strong relationships with users, ensuring good communication at all times Use ticketing systems effectively, logging all incidents and requests, and keeping users updated on their status Contribute to IT projects, providing insights and expertise as needed Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Help Desk Analyst or relevant field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in managing Active Directory, including user and security group management. Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware and ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues. Experience with configuration management tools and principles. Proven ability in deskside support, providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Familiarity with desktop hardware, understanding its components and functionality. Excellent problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively. Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms. Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various departments within the organization. Willingness to stay updated with advancements in technology and the industry.
