We believe in providing staffing solutions to address the current talent gap - Right Talent - Right Time - Right Place - Right Price and acting as a Career Coach Role: Linux Systems Engineer Duration: 6-month Contract to hire Location: Downtown, Austin (Parking pass provided, onsite for first week of training then onsite only one day a week after training, rest of the days will be remote) Interview -Phone and WebExPay Range $45/hr.-$50/hr.Requirements TOP 3 MUST HAVES: 7 years of red hat 5 years VMware 2 years of Kubernetes (OpenShift, etc.) Experience: Seven (7) years of progressive experience in systems administration and design work. Seven (7) years of experience in RedHat Linux or mixed Microsoft Windows/RedHat Linux Server environment. Five (5) years of experience in Hypervisor management (VMware) Five (5) years of experience troubleshooting server hardware, software, application performance monitoring, and capacity planning tools. Two (2) years of experience in automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, BitBucket, GIT) Two (2) years of experience in container management and orchestration/Kubernetes Preferred Experience: Private industry experience Seven (7) years of experience in RedHat Linux Server administration and VMware environment management Three (3) years of experience with RedHat OpenShift Experience with security compliance and vulnerability management Experience with managing complex cross team projects Experience writing system documentation, system specifications/requirements, presentations, correspondence, studies, reports, and training materials Experience in disaster recovery tests and related activities Experience with Active Directory and Linux AD Bridging Experience with Nutanix Hyperconverged Hardware and AOS, NCC and Foundation Understanding of DevOps/InfraOps concepts and methodologies Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Microsoft Windows Server OS experience Knowledge of: Linux application servers, or transaction processing products with the ability to research, detect problems and provide technical support Red Hat Linux RHEL 7 and 8 Server virtualization technologies (VMware.
