DESCRIPTION:We have an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer to be based in Danbury, CT.

ROLE:Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing in the facility by supporting the maintenance, automation, and production teams. The Engineer serves as a technical expert in the manufacturing organization by assessing, updating, and training others on processes. The role combines a hybrid approach between design engineering, manufacturing engineering and lean manufacturing.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Functions:
  • Supports the Maintenance and Automation group through technical and process expertise to collaborate on solutions and improvements
  • Analyze and assess current designs of equipment for future growth, accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Initiate and Support changes within the cGMP systems
  • Supports and fills gaps to ensure production KPI’s are achieved
  • Works with Design Engineering group on new equipment acquisitions, implementation and validation.
  • Develops and executes programs for tracking equipment up time, planned down time, and production yields, (PPM/ Part Loss).
  • Assists the Validation Engineering team in the execution of equipment commissioning and qualification plans.
  • Integrates and ensures compliance with corporate polices and values throughout Technical Services.
  • Adheres to and promotes corporate Vision and Values, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with 5-8 years of experience (preferably in a regulated pharmaceutical environment) OR

    Master's Degree with 3-8 years related experience OR an equivalent combination of training and related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cGMPs (Current Good Manufacturing Practice)
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting production and manufacturing
  • Demonstrated knowledge in risk assessment tools and approaches
  • Demonstrated knowledge of

    six-sigma and

    lean manufacturing.
  • Expert knowledge of

    Solidworks.
  • Practical knowledge of Automation systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concise and effectively
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of statistics; strong analytical skills and the ability to rapidly analyze information
  • Ability to adapt and work in a high paced environment
