Description: FunctionPlan and perform diversified duties to rig, move, assemble, install and service all types of machine tools, large machinery and equipment.Typical ResponsibilitiesWork from general instructions, drawings, and specifications to plan and perform mechanical and related operations required to erect machine foundations, install, assemble, disassemble, rig, and/or move machines and equipment as required.Make structural frameworks, machine guards and other sheet metal, structural, or machined parts and accessories.Plan and perform a sequence of operations involving cutting, welding, rigging, assembly, installation, machining, repair and maintenance of machines and equipment, following general instructions and standard practices.Operate manual or power brake, chain falls, hoists, saws, drills, grinders, electric and gas welding equipment, and other machines, tools and equipment as applicable.At request of supervisor, may be assigned other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature.Refer difficulties to working leader or supervisor.Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety; contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator-required upkeep.
