Are you ready to go beyond?Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced, proactive, and goal-oriented Sr. Manager to be the Project Engineering Manager for the Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) 30K Programs Externals part family. In this role you will lead a team of project engineers supporting task execution, field support, and product improvements. You will develop your team and provide technical and strategic leadership while working closely with CIPT and internal customers. You will also ensure staffing plans and program delivery milestones are met for tasks and investigations.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure engineering team is fully engaged, supporting task execution, metrics are met for part, and technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Provide part family technical leadership, planning, and collaboration across disciplines.
Provide strategic planning and champion customer focus and a pro-active culture.
Manage staffing, outsourcing, and hiring to meet CIPT manpower requirements while ensuring adherence to P&W’s quality and engineering procedures.
Integrate with CIPT, program, and other disciplines/organizations to ensure technical and schedule requirements are met.
Driving improvements in externals product quality, performance, cost, and durability in support of program objectives.
Engaging with internal and external suppliers to investigate production, MRO, and field issues as they emerge and collaborate to develop robust improvement plans.
Prioritizing work and resources to ensure critical needs are addressed.
Leading and supporting overall organizational objectives identified in Policy Deployment.
Hiring and developing employees within the Externals discipline.
.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or related field, and minimum 10+ years prior relevant experience, or
An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7+ years’ experience
Travel at 10%.

Advanced degree
Capable of influencing and gaining cooperation and action from others within and outside of organization.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.
Effective team player, good coaching skills and can develop other co-workers.
Proven team builder – within MSEN, Engineering, and the PW Enterprise.
Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proven demonstration of risk-based decision-making, analytical skills, business judgment and professional maturity.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to ever-changing business requirements.
Experience in the design, development, and support of MSEN Hardware.
Prior leadership experience.
Proven ability to lead a multitude of cross-functional teams to achieve results.
Ability to craft clear communication and develop meaningful relationships.
