Provide operational engineering support to improve cost, delivery, quality and assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigations for CSMC HFB located in East Hartford, CT.

Own relentless RCCA for correcting non-conformance in the part families.

Team with the Product ME to identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.

Use statistical analysis tools to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.

Maintain work instructions and support operational excellence using process control and certification tools to continuously improve the quality and exceed customer’s expectations.

Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance

The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field and 5 years of prior relevant experience

Familiarization with Statistical Process Control, DMAIC, Process Certification, and Six Sigma

Possess good people and communication skills

U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarization with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) controls, machining techniques, cutting tool capabilities, and machine fixture.

Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience in general machining including turning, milling, and grinding

Familiarization in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics. process monitoring, data collection and adaptive methods

Effective team player with strong good interpersonal skills capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others.

ACE/CORE/ 6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification

Understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.

Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient
