The Walk Bridge Replacement Project in Norwalk, Connecticut, is a significant infrastructure initiative aimed at replacing the aging Norwalk River Railroad Bridge, locally known as the WALK Bridge. This bridge, a critical link in the Northeast Corridor rail network, has been operational for over 128 years and is vital for commuter and Amtrak services. The construction commenced in 2023, with completion anticipated by 2030, reflecting its complexity and scale.The Office Engineer will report to the project’s Resident Engineer and must have an ability to communicate and collaborate with the project’s inspectors, client construction manager, client project manager, and Department of Transportation Construction, Transit Design, and their program management teams.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing all documents associated with the project’s activitiesUploading of documents to a SharePoint-based content management applicationManaging the document control system and document revisionsManaging workflows and coordinating responses to contractor Requests for Change (RFC), Requests for Information (RFI), shop drawing submittals, and contractor work plansTracking project correspondenceReviewing daily inspection reportsPreparing weekly and/or monthly project progress reportsDeveloping progress meeting agenda  and compiling/distributing meeting minutesReviewing contractor Change OrdersReviewing monthly contractor payment applications
