Communications SpecialistAs Communications Specialist, you will be tasked with presenting the project to the community in an accurate, appealing manner. Design graphics for social media and other marketing materials. As Communications Specialist you are expected to take a complicated message and simplify it for the general population. Your experience in communication allows you to improve both professional and interpersonal relationships as you develop ways to sell the message. You also may be asked to prepare content for weekly, monthly, or quarterly newsletters, and ensure that everyone understands the messaging respective to their positioning. You will assist in developing content and campaigns for reaching prospective and current participants.Coordinate, implement, track activities through social media platforms.

Posting and interacting with users on a daily basis.

Manage social media management software.

Participate in outreach events, job fairs and other program development activities to sell the project and aid colleagues in execution of important events that improve the message.

Organize and input any collateral pieces completed with external clients, including product guides, advertisements, and any other promotional material.

Track and report on the effectiveness of all communication types for the project and identify innovative ways to better share our message and brand with stakeholders and participants.

Edit and proo all marketing materials such as brochures, postcards, emails, and advertisements.

Coordinate outreach and other activities with project manager and monitor calendars and timelines for the project.

Measure the success of social media campaigns through reports and dashboards to monitor social media traffic using analytics tools such as Facebook Insights and Google Analytics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONSRequired:3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications related to the role

Superior communication and organizational skills

Proficiency with basic computer programs such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Team-oriented and able to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or similar field preferred.
