Description An Onsite Patient Accounts Representative is a healthcare professional responsible for managing financial aspects of patient accounts within a healthcare facility. Job Title: Onsite Patient Accounts RepresentativeJob Summary:The Onsite Patient Accounts Representative plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the healthcare facility. They are responsible for handling billing, insurance claims, and addressing patient inquiries related to account balances. The position requires a strong understanding of medical billing processes, insurance policies, and excellent communication skills.Responsibilities:Billing:Generate and submit accurate claims to insurance companies.Ensure proper coding of medical procedures and diagnoses for billing purposes.Review and update billing information as necessary.Insurance Verification:Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility.Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies.Patient Accounts Management:Monitor and manage patient accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments.Address inquiries from patients regarding billing and account balances.Set up payment plans or assist in financial counseling when needed.Claim Resolution:Investigate and resolve any issues or denials from insurance companies.Appeal denied claims and track the status of appeals.Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and organized records of billing and financial transactions.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation requirements.Collaboration:Work closely with other departments such as medical coding, finance, and front desk to streamline processes.Provide feedback on improving billing and collection procedures.Requirements Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.Proven experience in medical billing and accounts receivable.Knowledge of medical insurance policies, and healthcare billing software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
