JOB SUMMARYResponsible for architecting and leading data engineering functions including, but not limited to: data extract, transformation, loading, integration in support of enterprise data infrastructures, data warehouse, operational data stores and master data management. Involved in architecting innovative solutions. Subject matter expert for multiple programs/systems.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESActively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Lead the implementation of data services and data movement infrastructures.Architect data structures/models and data movement infrastructures.Lead the implementation programming concepts such as data structures, error handing, data manipulation and I/O processing.Re-design jobs based on job failures, including but not limited to error handing, data manipulation and I/O processing.Lead the implementation of database concepts and practices including definition and query language.Architect the implementation of database concepts and practices including definition and query language.Design, implement, monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot requirements and architecture specifications of data warehousing systems and/or processing infrastructure.Lead the Insights team to design, implement, and support end-to-end data solutions across multiple platforms, environments, domains, and locations.Architect development of ETL processes, programs and solutions as per established standards.Monitors and administer automated and manual data integration and ETL jobs to verify execution and measure performance.Mentor and guide junior developers, vendors, consultants, and external partners to quickly identify and resolve data integration and ETL job issues.Diagnose highly complex issues and evaluates, recommends, and executes the best resolution.Influence the overall data insights program.Deliver quality results to the data development team.Ensure alignment to drive consistency and global solutions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishExtensive experience with building use cases and providing development support to data scientistsExtensive with building use cases and providing development support to data engineersExtensive experience with data lake - all data sources - building out data sets for uses casesExtensive experience with building SQL/HIVE databases and tablesExtensive experience with querying and designing efficient warehousing structuresExtensive knowledge of data access methods from relational databases using SQLExtensive knowledge of and hands on with web services (WSDL Soap, Restful) to access data from various source systemsExtensive knowledge of FTP/sFTPExtensive experience with designing or architecting for highly complex ETL processing and warehousingEffective written and verbal communication skillsEffective analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesRequired EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequired Related Work Experience and Number of YearsETL experience - 8Experience with SQL, Shell Script, Python, JSON - 6Data integration experience - 5Data visualization experience (Tableau, Alterx, Microstrategy) - 5Software engineering experience - 5Preferred QualificaitionsExperience with Redshift, Snowflake and/or other massively parallel processing (MPP) data warehouse platforms.Experience working with ETL workflow and scheduling applications utilizing Airflow.Experience in developing automated frameworks, templates and design patternsExperience working with Telecom/Cable MSO data and applicationsPreferred EducationMaster's degree, or equivalent experience with design, architecture, and leadershipWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environmentMPD639 2025-49668 2025Here, employees don’t just have jobs, they build careers.
