Job Title: Process EngineerJob DescriptionWe currently seek a Process Engineer to join our division located in Avon and help support our continued business growth. This position is responsible for the design, development, improvement, and optimization of manufacturing processes for sensing inscription. This includes developing new processes, improving existing processes, and troubleshooting process problems.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Designing, developing, and improving new and existing sensing inscription processes to increase their technical readiness level. Improving and transforming existing sensing inscription production systems to improve throughput, cost, yield, and productivity. Necessary actions include: Mapping process flow, communication flow, and quality control flow Conducting experiments and collecting data to evaluate process performance Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Developing and implementing process improvement plans/roadmaps Documenting and maintaining process documentation Proposing and leading Lean events Training production staff on new processes Proposing and implementing automation and digital transformation projects Creating and maintaining DFMEA and PFMEA Ensuring manufacturing process integrity and performance to meet production goals. Troubleshooting process problems. Participating in sensing research and product development projects and activities. Providing technical support to customers and internal customers including quality and supply chain. Collaborating with technical teams from OFS labs and other sister locations. Staying up-to-date on new technologies and techniques in process development. Working with other engineers, scientists, and technicians to ensure that processes are safe, efficient, and compliant with all applicable regulations.Hard Skills
Optics or similar laser-based sensing product experience
4+ years of manufacturing experience
