The NBCUniversal Direct to Consumer Group is seeking a data driven Product Manager to own and lead entertainment and sports content metadata quality efforts used to fuel our customer-facing products and services.As part of the NBCUniversal Direct to Consumer Group, you will be an expert on metadata, sports data, content management tools, and workflow within several of NBCUniversal’s brands such as NBC, NBC Sports, Golf, Bravo, Oxygen, SYFY, USA, E!, and Telemundo.  This is a high visibility, highly collaborative role working with many teams to foster metadata quality awareness and best practices in product development and content integration. Passion for data analysis is a must, as is deep knowledge of data analysis concepts, tools, and practices.  You will work with business units across the organization to ensure alignment and consistency in our data model and explore new ways to unify them to drive engagement and revenue.ResponsibilitiesProvide a clear vision to support technical development, including but not limited to product documentation, data process flows, use cases, sequence diagrams, and product training documentation.Work across domains and external teams to gather and document all requirements in Confluence and Jira.Serve as a lead liaison between editorials, content operations, platform product, and technology teams, leading and managing planning work, identifying issues and needs, building consensus, and developing solutions across units as required.Lead efforts to improve data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data sources.Act as a subject matter expert on entertainment and sports data models, and provide guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.Using both functional and technical knowledge, help users solve problems, design solutions, and help develop process and technology solutions that meet business needs.Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritize backlog of user stories for implementation.Partner with the Design/UX, Engineering, PMO, Editorial/Operations, and Product Marketing teams on projects and work closely with them to ensure product specifications meet their needs, understand current challenges, and identify opportunities to innovate and improve.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve product functionality and user experience.
