Scale Operator

General Purpose:The Scale Operator is responsible for all facets of the operations of a truck weighing process. The duties include, but are not limited to, weighing trucks, collecting and reviewing manifests, recording all information in a computerized weighing system, running reports, sampling inbound materials, and filing. The reporting and filing systems are primarily computerized. Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Weighing inbound and outbound trucks using a scale system.Collects and reviews manifests of inbound trucks as well as recording all information in a computerized weighing system.Running reports, sampling inbound materials as well as filing. The reporting and filing systems are primarily computerized.Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions.Take samples of inbound material if required.Maintain order and housekeeping of scales and scale house.Complete daily reports, maintain logs, spreadsheets and other reports, as assigned.Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor.
