Scientist, Solid-State Characterization

We are seeking a Materials Scientist with hands-on experience in pharmaceuticals, API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient), and small molecule testing for drug production to support drug development programs through advanced solid-state and particle characterization.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform solid-state characterization of pharmaceutical small molecules using techniques such as XRPD, DSC, TGA, microscopy, spectroscopy, and moisture sorption analysis.Execute and support polymorph, salt, co-crystal, and crystallization screening studies for API development projects.Conduct particle and powder characterization, including particle size, shape, surface energy, and surface morphology analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Medicinal Chemistry, Formulation Development, Biopharmaceutics, and Materials Science to support solid-form selection and clinical development activities.Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot scientific challenges, and provide technical recommendations to project teams.Maintain accurate documentation and data records within electronic laboratory notebook systems.Contribute to innovative materials science approaches and continuous improvement initiatives.
