Compensation OverviewThe annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?The Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives, within the Strategic Portfolio Management Office (SPMO) of Tech & Ops partners closely with business, technology, and finance leadership to ensure continuous alignment between our strategic roadmap and the execution of initiatives within our strategic portfolio. This leader will be responsible for macro business analysis, development & refinement of strategies, articulation of future capabilities needs and assessment of conceptual ideas that feed into strategic execution. The primary goals of both the Office and the role are to increase transparency, enable fact-driven discussions, and facilitate the navigation of an increasingly complex technology portfolio.

This role is a critical stakeholder in the development of Tech & Ops strategic reporting and analytics, leveraging this information to identify and communicate opportunities to improve portfolio performance. Within this rapidly evolving function, the role also will develop relationships with strategic partners and leverage market research to continuously improve our framework for end-to-end stewardship of critical initiatives and strategic investments.What Will You Do?
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with senior executives and constituent partners.
  • Establish engagement model with Business Units to drive more holistic and robust planning, initiative prioritization, resource planning and strategic roadmap development.
  • Partner closely with Agile/Delivery practices to evolve organizational operating and governance model to align with agile best practices and processes.
  • Partner with other internal organizations, inclusive of other Strategic Planning & Execution organizations (SP&E), to ensure alignment on purpose, progress, and resource requirements needed to achieve business objectives.
  • Support development of strategic reporting and analytics function to inform departmental planning and strategic decision making; and demonstrate organizational impact and value delivery.
  • Proactively support / facilitate development of multi-year forecasts, workforce planning, initiative prioritization, and strategic roadmap development.
  • Proactively close gaps between planning and execution, facilitate transparency, support identification and management of critical interdependencies across enterprise.
  • Support all aspects of Strategic Portfolio Management Office to ensure ongoing development of relevant routines, clear processes, relevant documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a diversity and inclusivity mindset.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • MBA / technology consulting experience / ability to demonstrate strong strategic acumen.
  • 7-10 years of strategic planning and program management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing others and/or project teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
  • Critical thinker with ability to respectfully challenge status quo.
  • Demonstrated bias for action, ability to put strategic plans into action leveraging facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with advanced project-management and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to lead and inspire team members to achieve optimal results in a highly collaborative and matrixed organization.
  • Systemic thinker with strategic planning expertise who readily sees patterns and connections across complex technology environments.
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skillset.
  • Deep understanding and appreciation for business, business intelligence/analytics, and technology components of program/portfolio management.
  • Experience delivering value, evaluating risk, and ensuring business continuity in regulated industry.
  • Facility making process improvement or portfolio enhancement recommendations.
  • Program / Portfolio management, AWS, or Agile certifications.

What is a Must Have?
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7 years business experience.
