Our groundbreaking, intelligent technologies used across all surgical approaches drive clinical efficiency and improved outcomes.Location :North Haven, CTAbility to travel up to : 10% domesticA Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Establishes, executes, and reports on product hardware development deliverables taking projects from concept to launch.

Conducts product hardware testing, creates models, and prototypes, and provides constructive feedback to design engineers.

Champions projects through the product development process.

Coordinates project tasks and documentation with design controls and risk analysis in accordance with established SOPs.

Incorporates required regulatory standards (FDA, ISO) in developmental and/or sustaining engineering projects including written protocols, test methods, assembly processes and the Design History File.

Ability to compile and organize technical data and prepare reports, presentations and spreadsheets of an analytical and interpretative nature to be presented to peers and project core teams.

Collaborates cross-functionally to manage the development of appropriate testing to verify product meets internal design requirements and external customer requirements.

Work on highly complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious to a broad range of problems.

Adheres to safety policy and procedures.

Thorough understanding of engineering practices, product safety and root cause analysis.

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume .Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline required with a minimum of 4 years of experience in hardware design OR advance degree with minimum of 2 years of hardware design experience

Nice to Have ( Preferred Qualifications )Demonstratable experience bringing hardware designs from concept through production, including coordinating with contract PCBA manufacturers

Working knowledge of analog circuit design, digital circuit design, or embedded system design.

Medical device experience is preferred

Working knowledge and experience with programmable logic (CPLD/FPGA);

Experience with RF technologies such as Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC

Thorough understanding of engineering practices, product safety, problem solving and root cause analysis

In depth knowledge and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in related field of expertise to develop innovative approaches to work

Familiarity of verification and validation principles, including test method development.
