SUMMARYThe Senior Measurement Advisor, Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) is the assessment subject matter expert during CAT design, implementation, and improvement. The Senior Measurement Advisor owns the customer relationship for CAT programs from an assessment design and implementation perspective, understands the customer’s perspective, and what they are trying to accomplish with their program.

Represent the customer’s implementation intent and goals to the internal functional teams and represent the functional team’s perspective on implementation to the customer

Up to speed on industry innovations & anticipates future customer needs/functionality. Sets the roadmap for next generation computer adaptive testing at Pearson.

Strategizes and plans for future improvements and solutions

Advises on research studies as it relates to the direction that Pearson should take

Requirements gathering & validation: Setting up systems that optimize the needs of multiple customers

Understands data: what needs to be captured & how it moves through Pearson systems

Understands systems: How systems work together and vet configurations (Pearson’s and/or vendor’s)

Advises on assessment policy and use of program results

How data will be used and what Pearson should do to support that from a design perspective

How to meet mandated requirements via design solutions (e.g., limited testing time, strict reporting deadlines, etc.)

Manages communication and planning with internal functional teams and external partners/vendors

Presents at customer TAC & Planning meetings as needed

Serves as a resource to brainstorm solutions with fellow Senior Measurement Advisors and assigned Lead Research Scientists

Formal education or equivalent experience

Doctoral degree in educational measurement or a related field from a nationally recognized institution of higher education.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience working in the field of measurement.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
