Location: US Home Based - 100% Remote (or Hybrid from the Shelton, CT office)

We give you a world of potential Computershare has an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Global Development team that reports into the UK. Working hours for this role will be in the Central or Eastern time zones.

A role you will love As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be working with your team to continue to develop, design and maintain our automation test capabilities internally. You will up lift our Automation testing capabilities on the various project teams through technical guidance, education, and mentoring in addition to supporting the wider CPU Technical community.Other key responsibilities include:
  • Develop, design and maintain automation frameworks used across multiple applications within Global Development and across Computershare.
  • Support, coach, and develop other teams, for example testers and manual testers, in order to guide them in learning how to automate their software.
  • Apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
  • Support the team through investigation and identification of quality exceptions.
  • Promote collaboration between application development, testing, support and operations teams embracing a shift-left culture.
  • Ensure that new automated processes comply with existing governance and risk frameworks.
  • Support the evaluation and resolution of technical challenges and blockers to minimize their impact on the team's delivery and/or supported products.
  • Embrace and support improvements and innovation in technologies/practices within your team that would benefit the business e.g. efficiency in the software development process or improved customer experience.

What will you bring to the role? Communication is key in this role - you will need to be able to build effective working relationships with various stakeholders across the business, and work closely with your team to keep up to date with changes.Other required qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of development experience using C# best practices
  • Programming language experience in C# and .NET, or other similar languages
  • Implementation /Experience maintaining Automation framework based on Selenium
  • Hands-on experience of designing, writing and maintaining test automation scripts
  • Proven experience of various test automation BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow/Cucumber and relating specialist tooling, such as Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience of resolving issues arising from test scripts (in manual and automated form)
  • Experience in managing automation suite for Web/mobile apps and API Layer testing
  • Exposure to non-functional testing i.e. performance and security
Bonus points if you have:
  • Knowledge of the Azure DevOps process
  • Proven experience of database integration and development (SQL)
  • Experience working in an agile environment
