Sports Multi-Media Journalist and Anchor, NBC Connecticut

NBC Connecticut is looking for a Sports Multi-Media Journalist and Anchor to collaborate with our team of exceptional journalists to showcase engaging stories from around the state. As a sports multi-media Journalist, you will gather daily content where you will shoot, edit, write, produce, gather and report content on all of NBC Connecticut’s platforms. In this role, you will cover UConn sports and the WNBA. The candidate will both report and anchor the sportscast. Here You Can: Take charge of the big headlines with innovative storytelling Pitch both enterprise and lead sports stories for all platforms Independently produce nightly sportscast at 6pm and 11pmTell stories that impact everyday people in Connecticut. Generate content for the station’s website and social media sites  Build relationships with community leaders Participate in station-sponsored events and all assigned special promotions projects Develop within the NBC Owned stations group What We’re Looking For: Play an active role in the editorial process Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Skilled sports shooter with proven expertise in capturing both highlights and “off the court” moments for feature storiesStrategic thinking, researching and organizational skills Excellent time-management skills, prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
