Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant, located in BRANFORD, Connecticut. This role falls within the industry, where the Sr. Accountant will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including routine accounting tasks, strategizing with departmental heads, and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles. Responsibilities: Execute routine accounting tasks such as journal entries and general ledger operations Prepare timely and accurate account reconciliations, maintaining balance sheet and bank reconciliations Support financial and tax audits, enhancing internal control procedures Collaborate with the Controller and offer strategic support to departmental heads and shops Maintain accurate documentation and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary Assist with other finance-related functions such as payroll and month-end close Contribute to budget and forecast preparation, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI Maintain and process customer credit applications and records efficiently Adapt quickly to new tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines Work cooperatively in a team-centric environment, leveraging skills in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
