Description Senior Accountant- Central ConnecticutReference ID: BR0013076860Contact Information: Brittany Rizzo / Brittany.Rizzo@RobertHalf.cWe are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a top healthcare client in the Central Connecticut area. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling account balances, preparing general ledger entries, and handling month-end closing procedures. Responsibilities: Manage account reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in our records. Carry out balance sheet reconciliation with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for. Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. Handle month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurate and deadlines are met.Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations Strong understanding of General Ledger / GAAP accounting Skilled in creating and maintaining journal entries Experience with month-end close processes Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proven problem-solving skills Healthcare experience is a plus Knowledge of accounting software and databases is desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
