Survey Technician

Job Title: Survey TechnicianPosition Overview:Seeking an ambitious surveyor looking to grow and develop their career in the industry. The role is field-based, requiring travel throughout the state in various outdoor conditions. The company offers a company car or mileage reimbursement. The surveying team currently includes 3 CAD drafters and 13 surveyors and is rapidly expanding. To succeed in this role, you must be knowledgeable about safety requirements and understands traffic control and safety procedures for various surveying and construction operations. Position Details:

The candidate will handle daily operation, checking, and basic field adjustments on transits, total stations, total electronic stations, data collectors, levels, compasses, tribrachs, and tripods.

The candidate must be familiar with the principles of basic surveys such as leveling, traversing, triangulation, trilateration, public land surveys, metes and bounds surveys, construction surveys, and photo control surveys.

This position requires coordinating field work for standard types of surveys under the supervision of a Party Chief and maintaining neat and orderly field notes.

This role involves the care, cleaning, and use of surveying tools and equipment including field radios.

Requirements:

1+ years experience of land/construction surveying

1+ years experience with Total Stations

Attention to detail

Ability to follow safety protocols

Work Life

This is a field based role supporting sites in Hartford County, New Haven County, and New London County Connecticut.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with flexible hours.
