Direct-hire(FTE ) base + bonus + Benefits + great 401k matching Senior Application Developers are responsible for making application changes to provide the required IT services functionality for one or more applications under a Delivery Team. This includes the development and maintenance of custom applications as well as the customization of products from software vendors.Key responsibilities of the Risk Consulting Agile Sr application developer:
- Implement and document change in accordance with approved SDLC process and development standards
- Unit testing conducted to ensure changes are of sufficient quality before system testing
- Assist in impact analysis
- Work collaboratively with developers on other teams, internal, external, onshore, and offshore
- Support analysis and resolution of defects during application testing phases
- May serve as a member of a major incident team
- L3 support for problem root cause analysis
- Resolution of functional defects found during testing
- Estimation of development
- Assist with the creation of operational guidelines
- Assist with technical analysis of solution design
- Proactively identify and communicate improvements opportunities
- Participate in daily scrum
- The Sr application developer report to the application manager
- Prefer permanent resident or USA citizen
- Prior experience on a scrum team
- Minimum 5 years of experience in development or analysis
- Proven development skills in one or more programming languages with additional skills in domain specific tools (Dot Net , Azure, ADO, SQL, some ETL knowledge)
- Knowledge of Secure coding practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of 0-Auth, Docker, and cloud applications a plus.
- Prefer proficiency with multiple application delivery models including Agile, iterative and waterfall
- Prefer prior work experience in insurance and Risk Consulting technology field
- Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures etc. comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management, or related fields preferred
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Experience with successful agile techniques
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Harness CI / CD build and development pipelines a benefit.
