Technical Project Manager

I have a long term contract opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join the team with one of our top tier organizations in East Hartford, CT. As a Technical PM, you will maintain project plans, ensure the project remains on schedule, anticipate and alert management to any potential delays, issues, or dependencies with the project.The role requires excellent organizational and communications skills, and experience with enterprise system deployments. The Project Manager must also have a service-oriented mentality, proactively identify problems and see them through to resolution, and establish good working relationships with the project team.

• Creates cohesive project plans with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters.
• Experience with global network/WAN projects
• Provide resource planning and set expectations for individuals and the project team.
• Responsible for developing project plan around Network Infrastructure
• Drive deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of projects.
• Prepares reports for upper management regarding project status.
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Supports team members in executing tasks as needed to meet project deliveries
• Assists in the development of corporate project/program management methodologies
• Exception written and verbal communications skills
• Establish a master project plan across business and Management and Operations groups, coordinate and track tasks accordingly.

• 5-10 years of project management experience.
• Strong verbal and writing skills.
• Successful candidates will be self-motivated with a strong desire to contribute to the success of the department and company.
• Established track record of project management leadership and strategic planning experience.
• PMP, PMI, Agile, ITIL or Six Sigma certification would be a plus!
