- Implements, supports, and monitors the technical infrastructure as well as new servers/architectures/platforms/networks with the aid and support of technical consultants as necessary to resolve end user requests and install, diagnose, repair, and maintain all hardware and networking equipment to ensure optimal system performance.
- Recommends and implements new technical solutions to repair or enhance systems
- Manages deployment, administration, and support for corporate servers/desktops
- Fields incoming requests from end users and sets priorities on requests to ensure that most important are addressed on a timely basis.
- Directs users to appropriate information technology services teams for support, development, and training.
- Identifies, learns, accesses, and installs appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization tin order to best address end user needs.
- Ensures licence compliance and documentation.
- Establishes and maintains procedures for preventive and remedial maintenance of systems.
- Performs hands-on fixes, including software/hardware install and upgrade, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
- Performs trouble shooting and remediation as necessary to correct problems.
- Support activities to implement and test vendor software patches, bundles, and upgrades. Work closely with the vendor, clients, and IT to help schedule and coordinate vendor and IT activities, including frequent deployments from development to production.
- Work with IT Infrastructure, vendors, and clients to support the daily operations of applications. This includes identifying and troubleshooting technical issues and problems with applications, including but not limited to long-running queries, significant response time problems, and record locking conditions.
- Work with the IT Infrastructure team to identify and understand application, network, and server monitoring. Work with the same group, vendor, and other IT personnel to identify additional monitoring opportunities and assist with the implementation of them.
- Develop SQL scripts as required.
- Develop and run ad-hoc reports and queries to analyze data.
- Perform technical and functional impact analysis of vendor patches and upgrades.
- Assist with troubleshooting application problems and the resolution of same.
- Configure vendor packages.
- Some custom application development in the Windows/.NET environment.
- Learn and perform production support activities to provide backup for other team members as required.
- Develop documentation detailing applications and support procedures.
- Position will require periodic off-hours system support.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience with VBA, HTML, .NET framework (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#), JavaScript, jQuery, XML, XSLT
- Windows PowerShell script development experience
- Experience implementing and supporting vendor packaged solutions.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), and the ability to compose SQL scripts, queries, and procedures using PL/SQL and T-SQL.
- Experience with Windows server architecture, including application and web server components; configurations such as task scheduling, folder security, user, and group permissions; Active Directory
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
