Our client in Wilmington, DE is looking for a BI Analyst to join their team. This is a permanent role by way of contract to hire. This role is onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Position Description:

  • Utilize SQL tools/methods for extraction, manipulation and cleansing of data
  • Power BI tools/methods for analytics
  • SAS Miner and/or any other comparable or emerging industry tools/methods for data mining and modeling
  • ESRI and/or any other comparable or emerging industry tools/methods for spatial and density mapping analysis
  • Microsoft SharePoint and/or any other comparable or emerging industry tools/methods for report presentation and delivery
  • Assist management in identifying opportunities to integrate new technologies to enable improved efficiencies in payment processing and auditing, data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Develop reporting which support management in implementing strategies to achieve departmental and business line operational efficiencies and cost reductions

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience working with relational data and relational databases, including proficiency with fact and dimension table design and use
  • Programming language required - Needs any capacity of SQL
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience working in cloud based data environments such as Google Cloud and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with building scenario-based financial and operational metric models in Excel using Visual Basic
  • A background in BI analyst or Economic Researcher would be good
  • Ability to teach others - knowledge sharing is crucial for this team
  • Graphic design experience - ability to build dashboards people can consume
