AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector in our Newark, DE office for a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the Delaware-Maryland-Pennsylvania tri-state area. Typical assignments may include water and wastewater projects, erosion and sediment control inspection, stormwater facilities inspection, and other projects throughout the tri-state area.Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection dutiesParticipates in pre-construction meetings, punch list preparation, testing, and commissioningRelies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goalsResponsible for setting own project deadlinesProvides on-the-job training to new employeesPerforms daily field inspections and maintains inspection recordsTracks quality assurance progressProvides input to documentation for area and equipment turnoversFrequent traveling to field locations. Locations and distances varyFrequent outdoor work in a variety of seasonal weather conditionsDaily walking several miles to perform job duties. Frequently across outdoor construction environments with a variety of uneven terrains such as mud, rock, grass, dirt and other unpaved terrains and variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noiseConducts thorough inspections of wastewater treatment facilities, including pumping stations, pipelines, and related infrastructureVerifies compliance with environmental regulations and permits related to wastewater managementCollaborates with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve construction-related issues and ensure project successPrepares detailed inspection reports, including photographic documentation and recommendations for corrective actionsStays current with industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in wastewater construction and inspection techniques
