This enables Ford Pro to operate as an analytics-driven business in a competitive marketplace.We are currently seeking highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Manager to join our Ford Pro Data Services Product Group. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data management principles and possess a solid track record of successfully implementing and maintaining effective data governance programs. They should be able to design and implement policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and privacy, as well as possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The candidate should also have a strong knowledge of data protection laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks. We are looking for a proactive, results-driven individual with a passion for data and a commitment to excellence.

Design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework encompassing policies, processes, and standards that ensure data accuracy, privacy, and security.

Engage with legal, compliance, and other relevant parties to gain a thorough understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR, CPRA, and other pertinent legislation, and ensure that our data services align with these requirements.

Partner with our technical team to translate data governance insights and recommendations into actionable technical designs and solutions within the GCP environment, while adhering to regulatory compliance.

Define clear data stewardship and data ownership roles within the organization, and provide necessary training and guidance to promote adherence to the data governance framework across all teams.

Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our data governance practices, making necessary adjustments to accommodate evolving regulations and industry best practices, while maintaining alignment with our business objectives.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise to communicate the value of our data governance efforts, ensuring that our commercial data solutions meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

You'll have

Bachelor's degree in a related field (Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).

At least 3 years of experience in data governance or a related field, with a focus on GDPR, CPRA, and other data protection regulations.

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data governance tools.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with legal and compliance stakeholders, understanding complex regulatory requirements and translating them into actionable data governance strategies.

Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Even better, you may have

Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a strong focus on GDPR, CPRA, and other relevant data protection regulations.

Expertise in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with experience in utilizing its data governance tools such as Data Catalog, Data Loss Prevention, and Cloud Identity and Access Management.

Knowledge of the commercial vehicle data industry and its unique data governance requirements is a plus.
