Job Family Description: Proficient in Java J2EE application development. § Working proficiency in Java J2EE toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software § Demonstrates understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common framework § Demonstrates understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security § Working proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages § Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software Additional Skills: Part of a scrum team to deliver high quality software to the business Working closely with our architects and product partners to help estimate and prioritize the team's backlog and define stories needed to deliver the solution Able to understand production issues and resolving defects Deliver the defined solutions for the projects thru the Agile process Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field Good working knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- 3+ years' experience in software engineering or related discipline
- 2+ years' experience with building large scale big data applications Working experience in Java, J2EE and Spring framework
- Working experience as Agile developer and good understanding of SDLC methodologies/guidelines Experience in developing software solutions leveraging Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Hands on experience with building CI/CD using Jenkins pipeline
- Has working knowledge of Hadoop echo system, including data storage in ORC, resource management by Yarn is a plus
- Working experience in Docker and Kubernetes is a plus Working experience in Kafka is a plus
- Working experience in Spark and related stack on premise or public cloud is a plus
