Lead Data Analyst

Responsibilities :

• Work Closely with the customers to elicit and document the detailed Data requirements
• Experience working on P&C insurance applications and possess knowledge of the business functions around Underwriting and operations
• Identify and document the use cases per business needs
• Experience working with sourcing data from multiple 3 rd party sources and migrating onto cloud platforms, preferably Azure
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
• Interact with the IT team to understand how information is stored, modeled, and tagged
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Train end-users on new reports and dashboards
• Coordinate with offshore team to provide clear requirements and monitor the deliverables

• Proven working experience as a Lead Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Technical expertise regarding data lakes, data models, data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence
• Strong knowledge of ETL and experience utilizing Microsoft tech stack - SQL Service Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Diagnostic Information Gathering The ability to identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek that information from appropriate sources, and use skillful questioning to draw out the information.
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
